Yes honestly in the UK!

I have a double glazed conservatory. One of those really badly planned ones that faces south (the previous owners put it up not me). It's way too hot in summer and cold in winter.

But it makes an excellent greenhouse.

I planted some radishes in pots out there a few weeks ago. I was really only after the leaves but this morning I noticed 2 tiny radishes. Small but perfectly formed and so hot!

Well they are gone now

Congratulations, now you'd better sow some more quick!

I was surprised this morning to see lots of seedlings popped up that I only planted 6 days ago  - French beans, sweetcorn, courgette and melons. They are on a sunny windowsill in my living room though, which is very warm with the wood burner on!

I've finally got started with sowing myself - my plan for this year is to use up all the old seeds I've got kicking round, including many for interesting salad additions rather than waiting for them to fully mature.

I'm beginning to get some going inside and will accelerate progress once the present cold snap is over.
