growing lentils

Post: # 50089Post burek »

Has anyone ever grown lentils? If so, are they easy? Any tips? Are the leaves edible?
Thanks

You can grow lentils and small pulses in sweet jars, if you put a couple of good hand fulls in it, soak them for the day, wash them and put them back in, put a piece of muslin over the top with a elastic to hold it on, now all you do is keep them damp by putting it under the tap and running a cup full in it then pour it out again without moving the muslin. It doesnt take long in a warm cupboard, I havent tried it myself yet but i have seen it done, and apparently the sprouted pulse has something silly like 100 x the goodness and energy.
