SE Essex Organic Gardeners are planning a special, "one-off" coach visit to Fordhall Farm, near Market Drayton, Shropshire, on Sunday 25 March.
This is the farm that hit national headlines last year with articles in the Observer, Telegraph, Guardian, Country Living and the BBC farming programmes plus the television news!
Fordhall Farm has been chemical free for over 65 years. It is now a "community owned" Community Land Initiative and one of the first organisations in the UK to place farmland in common ownership. It has over 100 shareholders in Essex!
When faced with development pressures, the farm was placed into community ownership, which seeks to demonstrate that small-scale farming connected to the local community offers a viable way of life for generations to come, as well as providing opportunities for young entrants to farming.

We are picking up people additionally at the South Mimms Service Station on the M25.
