Small world isn't it. Maybe Dunmow is a veritable hotbed of self sufficienters, churning them out on a weird wind powered conveyor belt... maybe not.

1998!!

I'm with you M3 - that's made me feel old now.

I left school a LOT longer ago than that.

Oh, but while we are on the subject, I've recently been in contact with my best mate at school after 20 plus years of not seeing her.... unbelievably, at one stage, she was living just an hour from me in Scotland.

There are very few Ish people in Dunmow, or from Dunmow, somehow, i don't see it churning out the ssish people...except maybe for the farmers...

Anna who posts as funkypixie was (and still is) best mates with my sister at school. Myself and Dave have known her since we were probally about 10. There seems to be a few people living in places around the UK that I have lived in, but no one else that I remember from my past.

as for leavign school in 1998, er about the same decade but thats it.

I always love the stories of people getting in touch through this site.

Well the good thing, no matter what decade we left school in  , is that we all have the same interests at heart.

AND, it is good to see that not all young people in the UK eat junk food all of the time and are rude and abusive hoodies and chavs etc etc etc as the media (and all the people fleeing the UK cos it's such an 'orrible place on the French forums) seem to make out!

It is nice that people on here aren't judged by their ages or apperance.

Its also good to know that not all old people are computer illiterate and judgementanl of young people... whether they wear hoodies or not.

I didn't really think you were old... just think its funny to refer to people as young or old and think that it makes them belong to some kind of stereotype. I have met alot of very mature 25 year old and alot of childish 45 year olds, so I suppose it doesn't really matter how old you are.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone
