Getting an allotment!

Post: # 4572Post Guest »

Hi everyone!
I am soon to get an allotment! My friend introduced me to the idea, as she has one. We (and our other halves) have both hankered after the idea of a smallholding for ten years, but it was not going to happen, so here we are! Can't wait to get going! Roll on Monday when I can phone the council 8)

Hi Isobella & Welcome

Have you got an allotment or have you got to apply for one. Hope there isn't a waiting list.

Whereabouts are you?

Welcome Isobella, :hello2:

Fingers crossed for your allotment!

What have you got planned to grow in it?

Hi all and thanks for the welcome 8) We have got TWO allotments! There were a few available, no waiting list, and we signed up on Monday! We are growing (hopefully) potatoes, carrots, all the usual veg, plus putting up a greenhouse and we can have chickens, perhaps only a few (three or four) are best.
The plots are seriously neglected at the moment, so lots of hard work clearing them first - they are right nxt to each other so like one big plot!

Hi Isabella, Congratulations on the allotments. Where do you live? There is a huge waiting list where I stay.
