Well gang,

It is Saturday night here and we have been playing cards under the 12 volt lights listening to our new Freeplay radio.

What does everybody else do?

Tonight, i'm planningn a hot bath...i know i know, the water usage, but i'll be using candles instead of electric light!

And then watering my plants with as much of the water as i can use, then dumping the dog in afterwards, so the water will be well used!

Then, i'm going to make some bread, i'm in a bit of a mood, so i need something to hit! Perfect bread-making mood!

I would go and dig over ym garden, but it's dark already, and i'm not finished work yet!

I'm trying to relearn how to knit this evening - I sure know how to live it up on a Saturday night

Well .. we've had supper (a re-heat+adaptation of last night's spaghetti bolognese) the dogs are fed, warm and comfortable, the fire is blazing, keeping the whole house warm on recycled timber (mostly pallets) as well as airing my laundry, and we ..... we have the radio playing quietly in the background.

I also have a generous glass of wine to hand, plus hubby and I are deeply into the books we are presently reading (in my case, a Dan Brown), bed has hot water bottle in, we are safe and warm as the wind is increasingly howling outside, and if asked .... I would have to say that the frenetic years are now behind me and I am so content to stay at home, in comfort, on a Saturday night! I waited a long time to find as good a man as my hubby and I am content for us just to be together.

Of course, I'm also on the ish site, which may be the most lively and intellectual pursuit of today - tomorrow, who knows, but I now live my life as 'going with the flow'.

Neil Diamond once wrote "it don't take plans to clap your hands" - if it feels right to you, then it IS right!!!!!!!

Happy Saturday Night to you all.

I sat out on the back porch with a big bag of macadamia nuts, a hammer, a glass of dry white, and ABC classic FM playing in the background.

LOL - So things were pretty firey at Red's place, then?...

Saturday night turned into Sunday morning for me, as I was burning the midnight oil and didn't go to bed until 5am. That is kind of working for me at the moment because it has been heaps hot during the day, so I'm quite happy missing that bit of the day in snooze mode.

Spent last night working my way through a to do list that is getting quite out of control...
