On this wet, cold and windy night, hubby and I are sitting here planning our Spring+Summer travel programme (big words for little plans!) now that we are both retired.
Both of us are 'immigrants' to Lincolnshire and there are still huge areas of the country accessible to us that we have never had the chance to explore, but would very much like to.
We have a 14' Lunette touring caravan, fully equipped and would be delighted if ishers within a 90 mile radius could OFFER, say, their paddock, lawn or driveway to us for a day or two at a time.
This is most definitely NOT a one way trade. In return, we have a large paddock (separate lorry-sized access) a large driveway + lawn area, outside mains-fed water, power, sewerage point, and a quiet location. We also have a 28' fully equipped mobile home, on site, so that is also available.
If you are a regular ish contributor, and wish to contact us re a short stay here, please PM me over the next month or two. ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY INVOLVED!!!!!!
I was lucky enough to 'win' Wombat's woodstove cookbook and when I offered to send him his postage costs, he refused. In the same vein, what goes around comes around and I would be glad to give/receive weekend campsites for any isher, and get my payoff the same way - so very glad to do a good turn for someone!!!
Travel + what goes around, comes around.

You are more than 90 miles from here... but if you fancied the trip up north to Aberdeenshire you'd be more than welcome here. I know that the other Aberdeenshire Ishers would love to meet up too!

Hearty thanks to you Shirlz - I, and I'm sure along with many, wish that Scotland, with all it's beauty, was not quite so far away.
Perhaps, in regard to my travel offer, I also need to say that we are between Spalding and the Wash, quite rural but not remote and only a mile or two from the main route, A17, with easy access to the whole of the East Midlands, and via Kings Lynn, the whole of Norfolk and Suffolk.
We are a dog oriented household and have a double, two-dog kennels (ie 4 dogs) a shallow pond just waiting for small boys to fall into and explore, as well as lots of good things to visit close by and a local food factory that sells the familiar blue water butts (food grade) at £5 a throw.
The offer to give camp pitches comes from the heart of my bottom (that doesn't sound right but I've had a glass or two of wine?!!)and goes hand-in-glove with the ethic by which hubby and I have lived most of our lives. Kind regards.
