Octopus
The fishermen delivered 2 massive octopus this afternoon, what on earth should i do with it - cookingwise i mean. have cleaned and skinned it, was thinking of roasting it, any other ideas?
Have sold up in the UK, now living on Mafia Island, in the middle of an old coconut plantation. We catch our fish, have chickens, grow fruit and veg. We are powered by solar and an ankur gasifier - no mains elec here!!

Octopus are a bit harder to come by in Northampton
But a quick google came up with this site
http://fooddownunder.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=octopus
which looks a bit interesting.
Good luck & let us know what it tastes like.

Just when you think you're in it up to your neck & it can't get any worse, something craps on your head.

fantastic thanks, until our veggie patch starts producing we can only get rice pots toms carrots cabbage onions garlic ginger and green peppers plus very nice fruit of course so the octopus and peppers sounds good. after 5 months the veg options here are monotonus to say the least
