Water power

Post: # 44883Post Tay »

Any thoughts on this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/engl ... 221073.stm

I know it isn't suitable for everyone, but it seems fairly cheap to install.

decent flow of water - hydro power - fastest payback of all renewable technologies! :cooldude:
I'd be interested to see what's "new" about their invention - but in principle - water power is excellent (but so few people have the resource!) :cooldude:
http://solarwind.org.uk - a small company in Sussex sourcing, supplying, and fitting alternative energy products.
Amateurs encouraged - very keen prices and friendly helpful service!

It is a damned shame that more people don't have a water resource available. I would be interested to see if this idea caught on in France as it is reasonably common for householders to have a stream running through their land/gardens. Unfortunately for us, we haven't. If and when we move, I would be keen to look for a property with a stream for this reason.
