101 ways to have a greener Christmas

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

28 : Give gifts that help (force) others to look after the environment i.e. wind up radio, solar battery recharger, compost heap, etc.

29 : Dry orange, lime and lemon slices in the oven to make decorations for your tree

30 : Use a tree in a pot that you can put outside in January and bring it back in next year

31 : Use old newspapers to make oragami water bombs etc - they make beautiful decorations

Thats all... for now

Christmas elf, ho ho ho

I think there are going to be a few faces looking like this  on Christmas morning!!! I'd love to see someone unwrap a compost heap (which had been put under the tree of course!).

Or a reef.

32. Cut festive shapes out of orange/tangerine/lemon/grapefruit peels and hang from the tree or use them in pot pourri.

Great fun and the smell is WONDERFUL!!!!!
