Hanging marrows and squashes

Post: # 42632Post Daisy's Mum »

Have just discovered a fantastic quick way way of hanging said vegetables. I recieved one of those bizarre plastic netted body puff thingys (what a succinct description!) as a birthday present and wondered what the hell to do with it (apart from the obvious) when realised it is a tube.

So tie knot in one end put squash inside tube, if small squash tie another knot and hang another above it, and hey presto hanging vegetables. It seems to be working really well.

Just felt the need to share that with you!

Thanks for that Lorna!

I am just a trifle unsure why you wish to hang the veggies in this manner. I thought about a comment on capital punishment - but then thought nah!

Thanks, Lorna - what a great tip! I'm fed up of squashes rolling round under counter tops and have "bizarre plastic netted body puff thingys" to spare.

They're scrunched up nylon netting, tied in a sort of multiple bow. They are designed for body scrubbing/exfoliating and tend to come as a 'free gift' with shower creams, etc.
Now I've really confused you, haven't I?
Sorry - if you had one, you'd probably recognise the description. They're one of those things of which there is either a feast or a famine - a bit like runner beans ...

Do have one, and do recognise the description - thank you. Before, I was picturing some weird item of clothing!

I see what you mean - I wonder whether there'd be a market for clothing answering that description and what it would look like?
