Hear some news today ..oh, boy

Post: # 42333Post Paddy's mum »

hi guys .. and for those of us old enough to remember, apologies to the Beatles for 'I heard the news today'.

Today, my middle daughter drove 150 miles to tell me personally that she is expecting her first child in May 2007.

I already have two grandsons from eldest daughter (now aged nearly 8 and just 6) but I'm just thrilled to add another one to my quiver!

AINT LIFE (and the circle of life) JUST GRAND!!!!

Congratulations Paddy's mum.

I haven't got any grandchildren as yet but my friends have and they say it's fab. You get to have all the fun parts...and then give 'em back!! Can't wait!

 Congratulations!!

I'm not in a rush to be a granny - my daughter is 20 but hasn't met her Mr Right yet.

Your middle daughter must be rightly excited to drive so far to let you know the news... that's LOVELY!!

Go on then ... I'll take the risk of asking you why May 27th is such a great date?!

Oh heck .. and there's me thinking that events of world impact such as the opening of the Golden Gate and Sydney Harbour bridges, or the sinking of the Bismarck or the death of Nehru, were what made that date so important.

You're right .. it was a silly question when I should have known that the birth of such a unique and gifted being as Wombat would be at the top of the list!!!

I'll be off now to have a word with my daughter ...............................(Walks away from PC smiling and amused!)
