Oh. My. God.

I have found paradise.

Why did I never come across this before?

If there are any self-sufficient-ish people in London, and know the challenges of wanted to get all rural in an urban environment you'll know where I am coming from.

So far, my greatest outlet has been my blog.

But things are changing quickly.

I (possibly a little rashly, but I was unhappy) quit my job about 3 weeks ago to take a year out next year and start learning the skills I need to build us a straw bale house. So I'm available for any volunteer projects doing anything, pretty much anywhere.

Next week I'll be learning to coppice a the green wood centre, because I have always wanted to be a woodsman and have my own woodland.

And I have found these forums.

Good luck comes in threes, and self-sufficientish guys, thank you for doing what you do...
