Whats your personal motto or whats a motto you stand by that was thought of by someone else?

I for many years have used the good old forces motto of adapt and overcome.

Not quite in the right vein but I have adopted 'if it grows it grows if it doesn't ... its compost' for my allotment ( my cabbages have taken a kicking this week hence my lack of enthusiasm)

I have several for different circumstances but the one that has been most use is from my mum and that is " only ever lend what you can afford to lose."
comes in handy when trying to decide if i can help out a friend and it works for everything, money, time and possesions.

never put off until tomorrow what you can do today - for if you do it today and like it, you can do it again tomorrow!

My family motto - "If it doesn't fit, force it - if it breaks it needed replacing anyway"

I'm with 3M - c'est la vie!

It was my sister's catchprase and every time I use it, I think of her, and it also sums up my life - luirching from disaster to disaster with barely time to catch breath in between.

Apart from "I don't care who you are you still s**t sitting down" the others are:-
Radix malorum est cupiditas - avarice is the root of all evil
Turn it on its head
and
What would you do if you weren't afraid?

As for Chris its :-
there's a way round everything
If Wile Coyote doesn't give up why should I?
and finaly - "no worries!" (I think he's a closet Aussie!)

Helen and Chris
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
