How do I make a chicken costume for 3yo?
Ideas please - he has to go to nursery dressed as a chicken on Children in Need day (Fri)... ta

Has the McDonald's menu improved since I last frequented the place?You could just dip him in a sort of yellowish, funny smelling slurry and send him as a Chicken McNugget.

Long white top with long sleeves. Then an old feather pillow or a couple of feather boas.
Attach the feathers to the top with hot glue or stitch them (more time but holds together better).
A pair of yellow leggings for the legs.
A pair of old slippers or shoes with cardboard feet shapes hot glued and stapled on either side (so each shoe is sandwiched between two cut-out cardboard shapes).
Take the outside of the old pillow case and cut and sew it into a hood. Then make a beak with an elastic strap. Sew the elastic strap to the back of the hood (not the sides), so that the beak can be taken off and hung down the child's back when they don't want to wear it.
