Crime Prevention

Post: # 40614Post Merry »

I`ve just had a `courtesy call` from the local police to offer me crime prevention advice after twice having my allotment shed trashed and my stuff nicked.
She suggested that I paint all saleable items a bright pink as that would make them unsaleable and therefore unattractive to thieves.

Pink's nice!

My mum's school kept getting broken into and the pcs were always pinched. They resorted to painting all the monitors, towers etc in disgusting colours with big flowers on. The stealing stopped funnily enough.

It works.
If in doubt ~ use a hammer!

same thing applies to the bicycle....even if you have a good one.....you can easily decrease its value by sticking bits of duct tape on in certain places so it looks broken....also a dreaded tescos carrier bag on the seat helps make it look horrid...when it really is quite nice

on edit...always have a good lock and wire that secures the frame and fron wheel just in case
