I have a heap of country I would like to enclose and it is currently fenced with 4 strand barb wire, but I would like to enclose it further still... to better cater to my crew, which includes very inquisitive goats, donks, ponies, pigs, gadabout dogs and ME, who would just like things to be a bit more private and enclosed. (Because I fear I may be becoming an eccentric antisocial type... LOL)
I have just been googling to see what alternative ideas there may be floating around, but as yet have not come up with much. Has anyone seen any interesting, and practical fencing that they remember that may be worth considering?
I have considered using recycled pallets and am going to ask around and see what the chances are of getting hold of a heap of these.
I also considered corrogated iron, as I liked the idea of a huge and constantly growing mural, but imagine that it would take a long while for me to collect that much iron, and am not certain that it is quite the look I'm after...
Have also considered boxing off the wooden posts and using shadecloth or hessian panels maybe... but am uncertain just how long that would last, and figure I would probably need to buy it new.
I would like to re-use something, maybe a bit unusual that would remind passersby to recycle... and would really like to begin a mural on it that I could continue to add to over time.
Just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone had encountered or created something that is both cheap and effective that I may be able reuse. Any ideas?
