July in October
This strange weather that we're having has just resulted in me having a new infestation of cabbage white caterpillars on me brussels. Picked hundreds of them off today.

we're getting something we've never had before - sleepless nights because of acorns!
There's a barn closeby, overshadowed by some large oaks - the acorns keep having little spates of beating a tattoo on the corrugated placcy roof as they fall!- the problem is, it sounds like someone chucking beams about, and every time they drop, the dogs "go off"
Strange! it's never happened before!
