Harvest moon

I thought I was going to miss the Harvest moon this year then the clouds broke

Nah, we missed it. We had strong winds and clouds and heavy rain all night. It is still gusty.

we had wind but no clouds. The sky is really dark here at night, not like when we lived in London. Thats a great picture, wish I'd thought to take soon now, would of made a good desktop wallpaper

We had strong winds overnight, creating that scudding clouds in front of the moon look so beloved of horror films. Great!

My daughter is a bit obsessive with the moon, she always gets very excited when she sees it, last night she was sat on the arm of the chair shouting go away clouds go away and cackling like a fool when they 'listened' to her and she could see it - it was very bright and impressive when the clouds listened !

We had the telescope out when we got back from youth club. The weather here was not too cold and dry. Clouds broke just as we got back.

I had a good look at the moon around 2.40am - I took a photo or two but I didn't have the tripod set up and the clouds were moving very quickly indeed... it did look beautiful .. I so love the moon. We saw her again this morning just after 7am setting onto the hillside from the bedroom window.

It was clear as a bell here and It was a beautiful sight while I was out walking.

saw the moon on a return from a rare night out with the husband (!!!), then was rudely awoken by it shining in my bedroom window like a brazen hussy, and couldn't get back off again as it was so bright (we have no curtains upstairs).

Hurrah though for the moon, time to put everything on the compost heap
