101 uses for vinegar
It's used for many things in my house - how about a list :)
1. To sprinkle on my chips
2. Pickling
3. use herbal or cider vinegar for beestings
4. mix apple cider vinegar with honey and make your own honegar - useful to keep those bugs and sniffs and sneezles away at any time of the year.
5. As an ant repellent (surely that should just be mispelt as repellANT)

To make more vinegar
13. You can use vinegar to make more vinegar. When your bottle of vinegar gets down to the half way mark, just fill it up with water (I use rain water). Leave it undisturbed for a week and the entire bottle will be the same strength as the original half.
You can do this indefinately. So you never have to buy more vinegar again!
Warmly,
Julie

WOW! That's got to be worth a try..... will that work with ALL types of vinegar? I use loads of white vinegar for cleaning.

I know it works for white vinegar. But I'm guessing it works on many others too, but I haven't tried myself so I can't say for sure. If anyone else knows, please share.

You sure that's not just acid rain you've got there?ofGaia wrote:13. You can use vinegar to make more vinegar. When your bottle of vinegar gets down to the half way mark, just fill it up with water (I use rain water).

Sorry, i can't contribute to this one it would be cheating, I just bought a book called "Vinegar - 1001 Practical Uses".
Although I will add one from my own experience - Mix the vinegar with lime (calcium carbonate or hyroxide), filter off the calcium acetate formed and then heat it in c distillation apparatus and you can condense off acetone! Bingo - DIY nail polish remover!
