Thanks to our mystery admirer!

Post: # 34803Post Stonehead »

A bloke in a red van just pulled up and asked if I was known as Stonehead. I said yes.

He said that I'd taken a bit of finding, but once the people in the local shop realised he was looking for the Australian with black pigs, they'd given him directions.

I was a bit puzzled by now, and then the bloke opened the back of his van and produced two huge bags of apples.

He said he'd been sent over by a lady who admired what we were doing here, who read everything I posted on Selfsufficientish and who'd read my Wanted post for apples.

He said he had 50kg of apples for me today, and can bring another 100kg if I want! But he won't say who the donor is.

So, a very big thank you to both the delivery man and our mystery admirer. We can make a lot of cider with the 150kg of apples plus our 50-60kg, so I guess I'd better get to work!

Thanks.

Great, Stoney! When's the party?

No, seriously: that's a nice gesture. Good to know there's still people like that around!

I'd just like to post an appeal for any spare fivers that anyone may have lying around.

150kg of fivers? How well do they ferment?

Stoney might be feeling good now, but when he's finished off all that cider he's going to make........well that's a different story.

:wav: and nice big wave to the mystery admirer, brilliant gesture.

Mystery admirer! Free cider! (or apples at least) - I can't help but think I'm missing out on something here.
Maybe I need a more moody avitar.

Nice one tho Stoney - hope it makes a good batch of cider.
