Yes, they stood and watched yesterday while I killed Rupert the Rooster, then helped with the plucking and drawing.

Their only disappointment was because Rupert was being sold to a friend of ours and not coming in for their dinner.

However, they're looking forward to tomorrow when Rupert's brother Rasputin gets the chop - because he's definitiely on our dinner menu.

When we sit down to eat pork, the boys often say things like "Blossom tastes great, doesn't she", "I like Boris sausages best".

The boys (and I) are rather more pragmatic than prevailing social mores! :mrgreen:
