what your signature says about you.
I have noticed that many of you change your signature all the time and some of them are highly amusing. I have had a go at changing mine from time to time dependig on what mood I am in. I think I will go back to the quote from Neil off the young ones soon as it has been my favorite. - first we sow the seeds, nature grows the seeds then we eat the seeds.
I did try to be clever with one of them - "the trick to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources" I thought it would be amusing not to credit it to anyone. It was actually good old mr Einstien who said that.
I am using a quote by tony heart at the moment as I was looking at his site the other day on a search for Morph stuff and I thought it was time for a new signature.

one of my favourites read something like
I dont want to go to my grave in a well preserved body, I want to slide in sidesways, choccy & wine in hand, screaming "woohoo, what a ride"

I've never attached a signature or 'byline' as I usually call them. I don't see the point. I especially find it irritating when people put their name at the bottom - when it is the same name as their username! Why?
I would like to know what Nev's one is on about though - that's had me puzzled ever since I joined this site. Who or what is Muddypause?

As in Stew - Muddypause - you know, the guy with the turnip.......long beard..........acerbic wit..................high IQ..........need I say more?
In a post yonks ago, he was talking about something, can't remember what and said that as far as the subject in hand goes, garden shed technology rules and I liked the quote.
My original tag line was - "Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened".

Gad, I wish I knew! I've been looking for the answer to that for a lifetime, but I'm still no nearer.Millymollymandy wrote:I would like to know what Nev's one is on about though - that's had me puzzled ever since I joined this site. Who or what is Muddypause?
I think he/it might be entirely fictional.
But I would reference this thread from ages ago, just out of interest, like. Particularly posts 7 & 8. I remain a little embarrassed about it.
By far the best one I've seen yet. Very understated.Nev wrote:My original tag line was - "Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened".

I wish. It was a rather too hastily thought up Username.Millymollymandy wrote:I thought that Muddpause might mean something or be something, like a character in a book.
On other forums I've been things like Stickyfingers (after a Rolling Stones record) - this was a musical forum; I've been Greasyfingers on a car repair forum. For some reason, I couldn't use Muddyfingers here - forget why - so I hastily thought of Muddypaws, and then decided to get terribly sophisticated (!) and change the spelling. On reflection, I don't like it much. Muddyboots would have been better, but now that might conflict with our Boots.

Nah - I have always thought Muddypause was highly original and as I had many a muddy pause during my recent mudbrick adventure, often smiled about it and thought what an excellent name it was for any earth worker!Muddyboots would have been better, but now that might conflict with our Boots.
How many times do I have to tell you, turnips are not toys!If only I didn't keep waking up when we get to the good bits.

Silly me, what with Nev being self sufficient I thought he meant Muddy Paws, as in hands dirty due to handling crops, plants etc.......Millymollymandy wrote:![]()

I thought that Muddpause might mean something or be something, like a character in a book. I didn't know that Nev's wotsit was quoting our Muddy, if you see what I mean.
So Muddypause is just a made up name?
