Cheap seeds

Post: # 32255Post funkypixie »

I popped into Wyevale garden centre earlier for a book on fungus identification and got side tracked by the cheap seeds.

They've reduced loads of veg & flower seeds to 25p/pack and they're all well within the planting dates - some say they're suitable until 2007. I picked up toms x2, onions, rockett, swiss chard, cucumber, courgette, nastertiums for companion planting and rudbeckia for prettiness for the grand total of £3.

So if you're thinking about next season already it might be worth a visit. Wyevale seem to be everywhere & I bet they've all got reductions.

Yeah, it's definitely a good time of year to buy seeds!

Can't believe I missed this thread, I'm in need of seeds for next year and was about to ask where would be a cheap place to get some. I'll have to pop down to our nearest store at the weekend and see if the offer is still on :(

If anyone's near Harlow in Essex, the one of the cheap shops in the town centre (not Allsorts, the one like it) has 3 packets for £1. I bought 6 packets yesterday. Didn't have any more pound coins otherwise i'd have bought loads!!
