Pumpkins (and assorted squash)

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Pumpkins (and assorted squash)

Looks like I might have a bit of a glut on my hands in a month or so.

Has anyone juiced pumpkins? If so, what do you have it with?

Pumpkin juice? That sounds a bit Harry Potter to me... I always wondered what that would taste like, seeing as pumpkin is not a fruit you'd normally eat raw. Or maybe it is cooked pumpkin juice they drink?

Anyway, if you have a glut, send some over! I've got the feeling mine will all stay at the "mini" or "baby" size... And I love pumpkin in all sorts of ways - bread, cake, scones; soup, mash, roast, fried, stewed... Freezes well, too, if it's the kind that doesn't store too long.
