We got little mousies down the plot
While clearing an old compost heap, hubby came across some mousies. I grabbed the camera and took photos and uploaded to my blog http://multiveg.wordpress.com/2006/08/13/mousies/
I think they are field/woodmousies - what do you think?

i was hoping it was mummy mouse and baby mouse!
It looked that way to me, but then, you can never be too sure.
They are little cuties though...are you going to leave them there? or encourage them to move on?

We first started a compost pile surrounded by bricks a couple of years ago - this didn't get very far as we were given compost bins, plus I cleared out one side of a new zealand box, so it was forgotten about underneath a carpet covering. Sunday, hubby wanted to clear the patch in preparation for making raised beds when he uncovered the little family.
It took ages to get picture of mummy mouse as it had run off a couple of times. My 4 yr old son kept wanting to look at the mousies and say "Hello mouse, it's a mouse..."
