Off topic again - but isn't that what this section is for?

I spent a while this afternoon trying to track down some guitar chords to a tune that was on the telly when I was a boy, and is now being used in some purile advert.

I discovered that the music is called Leftbank II, by the Lance Gambit Trio (though I'd swear there are 4 people playing on it). I also found some approximations to the chords, and a midi file that I can crib from.

Anyway, the point is, I also found this page which uses the music and I thought was funny enough to show y'all (Ina, your just going to have to get another computer if you want to hear it). Without doubt, many of you of a certain age will recognise it (and the phrase in the subject line).

P.S. I didn't realise Roger Moore had so much natural acting ability.

Boots, you utter heathen. Still what can you expect from a country that brought us Kylie Minogue, and err... and... umm...aaand... - well Kylie's bad enough, isn't she? And where else could produce a song called "Waltzing Matilda" that is actually played in 2/4 time?

Now, listen carefully:

1) Vibes (vibraphones to you)
2) Guitar
3) Bass
4) Brushes (as applied to drums)

I think the music was used on Tony Hart's solo programmes, but the one I remember pre-dates those, called Vision On, which featured Pat Keysall (who would talk whilst she was doing sign language for deaf kids) along with Tony Hart. Pat it was, who said the line about not getting yer pics back.

Now, now... We also gave you Rolf who you refused to give back. But you can keep him - cos you obviously still need him...a wobble board would fit in just nicely with that piece....

Sorry, I know I'm a bit late with this - only found it just now. Love the music - yes, I can hear it, Stew! Don't know why this thing lets me hear some things and not others. Reminds me of a guy at school who was a wizzkid on the vibraphone.. (It was that time.)

But, that RM - he can't raise them both at once, can he?

I've now been listening to that for over an hour.... I'll be dreaming about it tonight!

But - I just checked - he still can't do it with both at once, can he!
