Hi, welcome to the site. Sounds like a nice dream, do you have plans to somehow make it a reality or is it nicer just to dream about it?

i would love to make it reality, but land prices are so high - maybe one day

Hello

Welcome to the site - I hope your dream becomes reality one day!

Courgettes - it seems that lots of people have done well with their courgettes this year! There are a few recipes on the forums for cake, soup, relish, tarts, courgette anything :)

You sound exactly like me. We live next to a field and spend ages gazing at it and planning where I would put the cowshed, where I'd plant my spuds, where we'd put the pigs and where we'd sink a borehole with a wind powered pump if the field belonged to us. We have various plans but as you say land prices are high which makes it all difficult.

Hiya, and welcome to SSish!

Yes, I'm good at dreaming that particular dream, too. Mind you, I'd have to give up the job if I had all that - can't even keep up with my current garden etc. No problems with a courgettes glut, though - they seem to be having a break from production.

Hi there!

Yes I have the 'stare at the field next door dream' too, only in my dream I'm siting the field shelter for the horse!!!

I made a big batch of courgette and gooseberry chutney last night. Got to use the buggers up somehow. Anyone for another glass of courgette wine?
