I have no idea what the variety was as it was a case of doing "something" with a glut last year. These were soaked in red wine and then sprinkled with salt, dried oregano and basil and then dehydrated.
Last night we had our first winter lettuce, spring onions and finger carrots as a side salad for dinner, but no really ripe tomatoes

The taste was out of this world, and I can see that a lot more will be done that way this coming summer.
