That was me, I heard the tip from Bob Flowerdew on GQT.

On the TOmmy front one of my San Marzano's has developed blight, how on earth this can be from the hottest/dry July EVER, I don't know. So Bordeaux mix has been applied to all. Also my first San Mar reddening up, this is about 6 weeks early.

It's the third apricot to ripen, eaten two and they're bloody lovely!

So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero,great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli
