So am I.
But I do note down in my gardening diary how many potatoes there are in a bought bag, then I can calculate how much ground I need to get ready. Then the maths becomes easy, there are about 27 potatoes to an average bag and earlies need to be a foot apart, so a 27 foot row.
Maincrops need foot and a half, so that 2.25Kg bag of 27 needs about 40' (had to use a calculator for that one

)
EDIT: 300 potatoes, 450 feet ?? (getting on for a 10th of a mile

)
