I've been reading the site for a while but have only just found the forum :newb:
I have just bought my first house with a totally blank canvass of a garden, thinking of a small vegetable plot.

What an enviable situation - a new garden to start! Do you need to do the groundwork first- i.e. clearing obnoxious weeds, or can you start planting straight away?

Definately put something in to grow! We have limited space but still manage to produce a few things every year. It's very satisfying and you'll get lots of help and advice from the lovely group of people here.

sounds exciting having a blank canvas. I often plan out my dream garden certainly with a herb garden right outside the kitchen window.

The little pic was the newbie smiley but it seems to have dropped off the emoticons list, how strange?
