I very much doubt that these are good for you at all. On the other hand, people have sworn to lead a better life if only they can have one more of these cookies.
6 oz plain flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 oz butter
3 oz organic maple syrup (Maple Valley is pretty good, but Waitrose maple syrup is ok too.)
2 1/2 oz brown sugar
1. Seive flour, baking powder and cinnamon together.
2. Beat in the butter, then add the maple syrup.
3. Stir in the sugar.
4. Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls and squish down onto greased baking sheet, leaving plenty of space around them to spread.
5. Bake at 180C for about 10 minutes. Watch them like a hawk because they burn quite easily, something to do with the high sugar/syrup content.
6. Scoff at will, preferably with some good coffee.
Alternatively, you can use golden syrup and ginger, but I think that would be even worse for you! Still yummy though.

Sounds good to me :DNess wrote:6. Scoff at will, preferably with some good coffee.
I've made these before and they are absolutely irresistable. They didn't last more than a couple of hours here
