Just joined up. I've been growing stuff for that last 40 years and realised 'the more I know, the more I realise, how little I know'
Trying to be self sufficient in fruit, veg, meat etc for the last 14 years, and part of a group restoring a Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden started 2007. I found this group while looking for hulless seed producing sunflower varieties or how to shell sunflower seeds. Anybody got any ideas
Happy new year everybody,
Ivan

Hi Welcome to the forum. The walled garden sounds interesting, can you post some pictures and give more information.
The sunflower thing is a bit tricky I think, have a look at this, it may be of interest or not http://digital.library.upenn.edu/women/ ... n-III.html

Thanks for sunflower seed information. The Walled Kitchen Garden restoration is certainly an interesting project, especially as it's a community project and is entirely run by volunteers and sponsored by the local community. Our website is http://www.guernseywalledgarden.org.gg.
