Re: Sarpo potatoes - anyone got any experiences
We grew Sarpo after a recommendation in the local agri-suppliers. They were ok but not as good as others we've grown or bought from organic farms. We found they fell apart very quickly when cooked and the crop wasn't bountiful like other varieties. We'll not try again. Still love the Pink Fur Apples ... and they grow well and roast beautifully with garlic and rosemary, drizzled with olive oil .

I grew Sarpo Mira this year and whilst everyone else on our allotments got blight, mine flourished, and I had a wonderful crop. We have very sandy soil. The only thing I find they don't do is mash. They make really good chips. I shall try one of the other Sarpo varieties next year. pbf.
