101 uses for a pallet

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

Ooh, I love pallets...

Decking
Poultry housing
Drying racks for vegetables
Drying racks for firewood
Trellis
Wind breaks
Fencing (bolt two or three pallets together, then bolt the panel to the posts)
Compost bins
Treehouses
Shed (use some for the floor, some for the walls, pull others apart to fill the gaps)
House (like the shed but bigger)
Outhouse for the composting toilet
Garden bench (cut down pallets on their sides for legs, pallets for the seat and back)
Rustic table
Computer desk (yep, worked with someone who had one and whose bookshelves were bricks and planks)
Woodworking bench
Cage for water butts (as used in my Land Rover)
Water butt (bolt four together and line with heavy duty plastic)
Pig huts
Climbing frame (bolted together!)
Cold frame (knock most of the planks off to leave a square frame and cover with plastic)
Sheep hurdles
Pens in a byre or barn

And more, but I have to go!
