Hi all :wave:
My lovley niece gave me a really nice present............ a bottle of absynth which i have partook of some :shock: but it is not a malt whiskey is it :drunken: so does anyone have any recipies or ideas what to do with it apart from drinking it or using it to strip off old paint :iconbiggrin:

If you google absinth original, Russ,they've got loads of recipes for some mean sounding cocktails.I've got 3 really nice nieces,but I've never got any absinth off them,lucky you!

I once tried some with jelly beans in. Don't do that. It didn't improve the flavour at all.

wow i went on the absynth recipie site there are lots of talk about the green fairy :lol: so i decided to marinate some cheap pears (jane got some from the market for 30p :cheers: ) and make a cake with them and see how that goes, so thanks for the pointers i'll see what else i can do with it thanks all, oh Nev i would probably blow myself up if i went near a still :lol: :lol: and jane would kill me :thumbright:

Look up recepie for a blue lagoon...

1 part vodka

1 part blue curaco

half part lime cord.

fill up glass with lemonade or sprite and ice...

big pub chain I know sells this in jugs, offers one with absynth and one with vodka .

Cant remember the name when spirit is changed but goes down well.
