Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage (and other albums) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2b0OIkTraI)
Manau (Keltic French rap music) (best know for this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDJ0McwKCwQ)

And it would be pretty strange if my own music was not among my favorites, wouldn't it?
It's sunlight turned into music, literally. (For lack of better description, think Manu Chao and the Red Hot Chili Peppers together in one solar powered studio).

At the moment:

Kilnaboy (Welsh folk/punk band)
Suntrap (British folk band)
Peatbog Faeries (just...awesome...full voume for The Folk Police!!)

Other favourites:

The Sisters of Mercy
The Mission
T-Rex
HIM

I'm trying to learn a load of Medieval Folk for the Summer season at the moment, so folk is pretty well-played in my apartment :)

Here's another fab band. 'Foltin', they are a Macedonian band. We're friends Goce, the bass player. Apparently the lead singer is a bit of a dick  and he's an alcoholic, but they make grate music! They were playing in London last summer, in The Apollo.

Another vote for the Peatbog Faeries here. Also like Thea Gilmore, Jackie Leven, Ryan Adams, Leningrad Cowboys, Alabama 3, Martha Tilson, John Otway, Rory Gallagher. There are a couple of local bands like Billy in the Low Ground and the Mike Hoddinott Allstars that are superb. Saw a great band called the Barflys from Worcester last night. My list could go on for ever.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

The Barflys are excellent.....and seeing you're from Wiltshire, the Ash weren't bad either.

Known the Barflys for years. They played at both my 40th and 50th Birthday bashes and I have already provisionally booked them for my 60th in 6 years time.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?
