Hello from County Durham Uk

Post: # 25724Post Bunny »

Hi there, another introduction from a newbie to the site.

:hello2:

Looking for a more self sufficient life here in county durham and have started with an allotment which is proving fun. Myself and partner are very interested in recycling and growing our own veg.

We're hoping to move to France at some point in the future (although not sure when) and will hopefully find somewhere to live that can house all of us, me n him, 2 kids (with space for my partners 3 to come and stay too!), 1 goat, 4 horses, 3 dogs, 1 cat and a snake!

Have been reading some of the forums here and found them very enjoyable and informative..........seems like a great site.

Well that's enough for now.

Hi Suzy, and welcome!

A snake - that must be a first in the livestock sector for us...

Is it a dairy goat you have?

We have a Golden Guernsey billy goat now, did have 5 goats at one point but they were just too much so we just kept one as a pet......he's adorable and ever so friendly, brilliant with the kids and horses also.

Hiya, the land we have is rented and is part of the allotment site, it's quite unsuitable for gardening but ok for grazing and totals about 5 acres, we're very lucky to have it and have built 4 stables. Hopefully we'll be able to find someone else who will look after and use it appropriately if we move to france.

We have a taiwanese beauty snake, she's gorgeous and about 4 foot ish long now.
