In my fridge, i have an aubergine that needs to go in the compost.
However, since i have been reading this forum today, i want to harvest the seeds from it first to try and grow some.
Does anyone know the best way to do it/have some good tips for me?
Ta very muchly x

Found this when trying to work out whether you should pinch out the tips of the plants, it's from the rhs advice site:
Extract seed either by grating the area at the base of the fruit, where seed is concentrated, and mixing with water, or by puréeing the diced fruit with water in a blender at slow speed. Sieve the mass, wash the seed and spread on paper to dry for two days. Place in a paper bag to air for a few more days before storing in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Dried seed can also be stored at 5-10°C (41-50°F) or in a freezer but germination will decrease if seed is kept for more than five years.
