Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Then I thought it's probably been great for his diet, what with struggling with a knife and fork etc. Then I felt mean. Then I though he's probably say something similar though...
I'm glad he's on the mend anyway, I've been checking over the last few weeks for any news so it's good to know he's OK.
Growing old is much better then the alternative!

Re: Get Well Soon Big Al
Hi folks the chairman of the polictically uncorect party is back !!
To reenforce said party line it's disapointing in a way that for all the times i've tried to top myself and failed then I go and let a woman slit both my wrists !!! Oh how that is so policitally un [in] correct on so many levels....
I had carpel tunel disease in the right wrist and syndrome in the left. the right wrist was opened and cut in January and I was supposed to keep it in a sling for 2.5 weeks. That lasted 1 week. I got the bandages off at 10 am on the 27th and by the time I'd got home the dead skin was picked off. By 12 I was out putting a new frame and door in the chicken run, like 7 ft x 3 ft..... my wrist hurt a bit that night...
Got the right one done on last wednesday and it was a longer job being the worse of the two. The sling lasted 3 hours and I got a bollocking of the surgeon for walking home after the first op. Well it was only a local anesthetic but apparently it can be as dangerous as a full one.
They were going to keep me in until someone came for me but I promised I would wait in the waiting room for my wife to come. I enjoyed the stroll home as well but the secret was I had my fingers crossed behind my back so the promise didn't count.
This one hurts like flayed skin in hell sao not got much done. Get dressing sorted on the 16th but it's had to be re stiched once since I fropped the wheel barrow on it at the weekend....
Lesson number 1 don't try to lift a wheelbarrow up onto a table with one hand... it hurts..
In the meantime I've had a hell of a time with pain in the back. T4 and T5 are bleeding inside and T2 is where all the nerves for arms and heart end up and that's giving me jip also about a fortnight ago I had to go to A& E again for pain meds, I'm on oxynorm and other stuff but the liquid morphine is needed sometimes. Add to that symptoms of a heart attack ( nerves at T2) got me a two night stay with B&B until they listened and scanned my back again ( had scans last december so I knew I was right) but a down side of pur morphine and anesthetics is lack of sleep on the other side. So no sleep for the likes of 26 - 35 hours at a time then crashing for a few hours then long times awake and in pain at night... you all know the score.
Add in a bid of bipolar worrying about isreal, america and trident subs v Iran, syria, russia and china... Solar coronal mass ejections, no money for the mortage...
Then I just get settled in bed and the bloody text goes off... Hello Mick....
Seriously thanm you one and all for the wishes and i'll be back on a bit more even if it's just to be sarcastic every now and then...
As for the diet.... One handed or not Steak, chips mushy peas and onion ringsd still taste the same in a blender as it does with a knife and fork
So then I looked at the new posts and there were 15 pages for me to look at... It will be draining but I'll get through them all and make my irreverent p**s take where needed.....
Thanks folks,,
Alan
