I'm a beginner gardener and in my first year with a tiny greenhouse. I'm looking forward to getting lots of information on growing veggies etc. and chatting about gardening, as none of my friends share my enthusiasm.

Hello. I'm a Brit living in Holland, and I don't know if non-UK members are allowed, but I thought I'd barge my way in and see what happens.

Hi Kitty B
Welcome to the site... like Jo said... everyone welcome here... we've got members from UK, France, Australia, Portugal... and loads more places...
What a shame about your friends not sharing your enthusiasm... I have a feeling that might change as they see you reap the rewards

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Millymollymandy (great name, by the way): I'm in Eindhoven. So the south of Holland. Whereabout did you live?
Ina, is that your real name? I'm interested, as we have (or had) 3 people in our family with that name, and I've never met anyone else with it. It's quite unusual. 8)

It is a "proper" name in Germany, but in my case it's the short form of my first name. I was always called Ina by friends and family when I was young; however, that somehow got lost when I started working. I prefer it to my full name...Kitty Ballistic wrote: Ina, is that your real name?

Yes, I knew it was a German name, but as we have no links to Germany (that I know of), I was baffled as to how we ended up with 3 in the family.ina wrote:It is a "proper" name in Germany, but in my case it's the short form of my first name.
