hello

Post: # 250037Post meehaja »

Hello, I'm Jim, I'm from Leeds.

Umm, well without sounding like a biography...

I'm a paramedic, I'm married with a 4 month old son. in March we bought a large victorian semi in the city with a large garden which was terribly over grown and the house was a wreck. So far I've managed to clear the garden, plant fruit trees, build raised beds, get veg in the ground, get my wormery back into action and get the compost heap nice and warm in the middle. We back onto a railway whihc is like a bird sanctuary so we have many bird feeders. In spring we will be getting chickens (recycled battery hens) and hopefully a beehive (supported by a community group) as well. I have a 1982 campervan (for sale if you fancy it!) I enjoy photography, cycling, boxing and making music. I brew my own beer and its pretty good (if strong!) and I am getting quite handy at DIY.

My wife is amoungst other things a great cook, an artist and a growe of chillis so potent they have no place on a yorkshire dinner table!

So, nice to meet you all!

Sounds like you fit right in, Jim. Apart from that boxing stuff, of course

Being from Yorkshire myself (in the oh so distant past), I'm not going to agree about the chillis - Bradford and Leeds have a healthy history there.

So, not necessarily in order ... well done on the bird front, congrats on the son (you'll be tired soon  ) and what kind of music do you make? Oh - and, of course, a hearty welcome to Ish.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
