fit an inset stove

The whole reason for the selfsufficientish website was to offer a place where anyone can ask, HOW DO I...? So who knows why it has taken us so long to have a HOW DO I? section, but here it is. So if you want to know how to do anything selfsufficientish then here is the place to ask.

We finally purchased an inset multi-fuel stove for our front room. We opted for a modern inset design that will be placed about 1/2 a foot above ground level. We have almost finished opening the original fire place ready. We have read a few guides about how to line the chimney but was wondering if anybody had any first hand experience of the job that they would be happy to share. To try and save money we intend to do the job ourselves unless there any one in south wales that wants to earn a few extra pennies...
