Want to share some knowledge of eco products. Or have you heard about any new eco projects that you want to share with the world?

ENV bike - green transport, for me atleast

Post: # 24306Post Rob Hotchkiss »

firstly:

www.envbike.com

A new bike, runs on a fuel cell, which basicly does the opposite of the elctrolysis of water. Meaning the only emission is water (well, nearly). People will have fears over hydrogen, but you can fire bullets through fuel cells, and they will only smolder like a ciggerette, seemingly safer then petrol, you can also factor in, that while petrol will spread out and burn, hydrogen only goes up, making it safer. I'm trying to get envolved in this project, as i really am keen on it, and plan to buy myself an ENV. Just not sure how you are supposed to fill the fuel cell up, i have my own hydrogen.
Just thought you might be interested in a clean, cheap mode of transport (also plan to stick some together to make a boat on the island  ). Can probably ask me any questions. Go see what you think, hydrogen is the future!

Bah-this should be in the eco products forum, didnt see it before, sorry guys, if a mod would move it i'd appreciate it.

I had a look at that site, and i fell in love.

However, my sensible head said that there were no prices on the site, and therefore there is no way i can afford it!

So, is my sensible head right, or the dreaming one?!

Should be able to find some articles on it, the price is on intelligent energy's website i think, but i know it's 3-4 grand (£s), and if you buy the hydrogen, which is about £3 to fill it up, meaning 3p/mile.

Can make a hydrogen generator, or buy on soonish, a few are making them for the H prize, such as http://www.switch2hydrogen.com

My sensible head was right....

I'm sticking with the Powacycle Rabbit i think...

It's £499, and you don't need a licence (its classed as a pushbike because you can pedal it).
