A few of my latest creations ;)
I've been a really busy bee recently, hence why I've not had much of an Ishy presence. sorry about that. Also, I dropped and broke the family laptop so am just waiting for that to come back from the insurance-led repair people. thank goodness for insurance!!
Anyway, I opened a Folksy shop, and on the advice of one Keaniebean, I also opened an Etsy. Last time I loked at selling on Etsy they wern't set up for international sellers and so I would have had to jump through hoops to sell on there lol. that was nearly 4 and a half years ago though.
OK, so here's my latest, some for sale, some for fun!
for sale
this one was for a competition at a local fabric shop. Anyone near colchester? go to Fabric8 on Head Street and enter!!
and so was this, the brief of the competition was "make a cushion and/or a bag". I got this book from the local council's recycling bookshop, basically it's a bookshop where people donate books and you can take them home for free. it's currently Sophie's favorite place to be in the whole wide world EVER.
the middle of this book has been used in a variety of different ways too.
Another bag, can you see that I got a pack of Fat Quarters that kind of match?! it's done in LoneStar patchwork and made me realise why I only do patchwork by hand... oh, lined with pink gingham.
a baby t shirt, gypsy style collar and cuffs. skull appliqué, skulls all over the back and one sleeve. size is newborn ish as I didn't have much of that fabric!
and finally, my pièce de resistance.... a pair of 1980s fugly lamps, TRANSFORMED by the magic of Ish!!

Wow! Clever lady yet again! I LOVE the book bag! Very creative!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
