Hello all
This looks like a really good site.
I'm sort of new to growing veg and trying to be green. I'm trying to convert the rest of the household to recycle and eat home grown veg.
Hope to get lots of tips from the site.
One year, my son turned his nose up at home-grown calabrese preferring shop stuff. The following year, he was eating the calabrese while it was still attached to the plant - can't get fresher than that! My assistant is now 4.
My OH is a bit strange. He won't eat anything home grown. Prefers the shop bought chemical ridden stuff!
I grew up on a farm and find all the fruit and veg much nicer if it is home grown and eaten just after picking. Yummy.
I have to pretend the food is shop bought so that he will eat it!
No veg to harvest yet this year.

Also had a Dh like that - I've still got him but managed to persuade him to change his ways. I just stopped telling him that it came from the garden and he stopped making funny faces. Now he eats straight from the garden
I think we all know people like your OH... My neighbour's wife won't touch the mushrooms he picks every year, so I'm the one who profits! We can all exchange tips on how to "convert" them...

My lot love anything grown from our little garden. They are going to be sick to death of my plum tomatoes this year. I went a bit mad with a lone packet of seeds.
It may be worth doing a blind taste test with some of your harvest to see if they can really tell whats better?!!
Hi Honeybabe and welcome! Thankfully I don't know anyone who doesn't love veg straight from the garden. But - if you tell me ma-in-law that something contains garlic, she won't eat it. If you don't tell her, she says it is delicious!!!
