Hernaic Tom in Plymouth
Hi Everyone!
I'm not certain I have introduced myself properly yet!!
My name's Tom and I currently live in Plymouth, Devon and work at The Eden project in Cornwall. I am heading Eastwards in October to start a PhD on Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungi, and for as long as I can remember, have been interested in the natural world, in growing things, and latterly, in self sufficiency. I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into this forum!!
If anybody wants to visit the Eden project (For free...) I can get you in as a guest if you get in touch with me first! Come and pay it a visit if you're in the area. It is a beautiful, inspirational place.
I invented the word "Hernaic" to fill a void in the English language. The definition is as follows:
Hernaic (Hur-nay-ick) [adj]: Relating to any object, event or experience that is sufficiently interesting, entertaining, amusing and/or extreme to the point of induction of a hernia (fig).

Hi Tom
Nice to meet ya.
Gosh, I am inspired by your new word. I need to think of one now.
Everyone should have their own unique adjective.

Hi there and welcome - and well done for creating an entire new word - which will, I'm sure be used to great effect on here!

Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
