sunburnt cauliflower

Post: # 235263Post niknik »

my few caulis are coming on a treat, really grown in last 2 weeks

I actually couldnt rememberwhat I´d planted  ( bought seedlings ) till the heads appeared then!

However, they arenow going a bit yellow, apart from one thats more shaded !

Is this "sunburn"? can I looselly tie the leaves overthem , or what should I do ?

They still look lovely just not as white, I presume they´ll still be ok to eat?

My experience is that cauliflowers mature very rapidly and you only have a couple of days, depending on how cool it is, when they are at their peak after which they start to yellow (still edible but rapidly loosing its flavour/texture), bending over the leaves may delay things a fraction but not long.

Guess I´ll have to starteating them very soon though !
