Sourdough starter Scotland

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Sourdough starter Scotland

Post: # 235027Post rcoe »

Does any kind person have a nice sourdough starter that they might spare some of for me to get going?

I've tried starting my own a couple of times without success (and I'm going to have another go at starting one off today - but thought I would see if I could get a backup plan ready!)

Thanks,

Richard

Can't help you with any starter I'm afraid, but Graham did a great tutorial here

I followed it and it worked well but I've not used it for a while so threw it away.

Just smile and explain to the baker in your local supermarket! That was how we got ours
